The perfect entry-level motorhome – the new Dethleffs Trend Edition
First-class price-performance ratio – Edition models are the perfect introduction to the Dethleffs Family – Ideal for newcomers to the world of motorhoming – Extensive standard specification – Low-profile models with three layouts
The Trend is one of the bestsellers in the Dethleffs motorhome stable. Combining a generous specification with an attractive price, it has become a real hit among camping families. It also impresses when it comes to quality and the generous amount of standard equipment – factors that cannot be taken for granted in this price class.
The Trend Edition, which Dethleffs will present for the first time at the Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf, is designed to open up the world of Dethleffs leisure vehicles to an even wider market. This special edition motorhome with three available layouts will become the new flagship entrylevel model for the renowned motorhome and caravan manufacturer from the Allgäu.
And the latest addition to the Dethleffs fold is sure to make a splash – by combining three of the company’s most popular low-profile layouts with extensive standard equipment and an unbeatable price-performance ratio.
In addition, newcomers to the world of motorhoming will find purchasing the Edition even easier thanks to a simplified Dethleffs vehicle configurator. This was made possible by the fact that the Trend Edition’s generous standard specification already includes all the essentials for a perfect camping adventure – in other words, it fully embodies Dethleffs’ renowned brand values and unique strengths.
Naturally, the new vehicles also live up to Dethleffs’ promise of outstanding reliability and (multiple) award-winning service, both of which provide peace of mind and are thus particularly important to first-time motorhome buyers. By combining the most important components for camping with three layouts and a very manageable range of options, Dethleffs is able to offer these new motorhomes at an unbeatable price-performance ratio.
Dethleff’s product manager Florian Pietrzak explains the company’s goals and intentions for the Trend Edition: “With this special edition motorhome, we want to give newcomers to our industry the option to start their caravanning lives in an attractive vehicle from an established, reliable brand with a seamless service network.” “To achieve this, we have focused on our best-selling layouts and lowprofile bodywork. By reducing the number of variants and including an extensive standard specification, we were able to achieve a price-performance ratio that is truly first-class and makes joining the Dethleffs family an extremely attractive option,” adds Pietrzak.
In contrast to the Trend, the Trend Edition is therefore only available as a lowprofile vehicle in the exterior colour white and with the modern Rosario Cherrywood wood design and perfectly matched upholstery – naturally, it also comes with all the comfort and safety features that make this series an absolute bestseller. These include soft-close overhead locker doors, 7-zone mattresses made from climate-regulating material, a 70 cm-wide entrance door, a GRP roof, overvoltage protection for the electronic block (EBL), an optional pull-down bed and a kitchen that includes a large fridge with a freezer compartment, as well as a three-burner hob and large drawers.
The extended standard specification of the Trend Edition also includes an Lshaped seating lounge, cruise control, central locking, a window in the T-hood, an awning light, LED daytime running lights, the option to convert the single beds into a double bed, two practical garage doors, a leather steering wheel and gear knob, chrome rings in the dashboard and a panoramic skylight in the living room. Optionally, the Trend Edition can also be ordered with decorative flush fitting windows. To help keep the price low, the options list is somewhat shorter compared to the Trend. “So if you really want special, optional components such as a hot-water heater, a second body battery or a height-adjustable double bed, you can simply order the ‘normal’ Trend,” adds Pietrzak.
The Trend Edition is available in three layouts. The smallest, with a total length of less than seven metres, is the T 6717 EB, a vehicle with single beds and a swivel bathroom for optimum space utilisation. The Trend Edition also comes in a queen-bed (T 7051 DBM) and a single-bed variant (T 7051 EB). Both layouts are 7.40 metres long and include a bathroom with separate shower, which can be screened off from the front area with a door.
The Trend Edition comes as standard with a Fiat chassis and a 120-hp engine.
